Volunteer
Court-appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Volunteers make a life-changing difference for children in the foster care system.
Volunteers spend time with a child to develop a fuller picture of the child’s life and make informed recommendations to the courts.
Donate
A donation to Advocates for Children CASA goes directly back to the youth in your community impacted by trauma and neglect.
A donation helps us recruit, train, and support CASA volunteers who are serving our community.

Advocates for Children serves over 700 children in Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln Counties every year.

Ways to Spread the Love
Gift Your Stocks
Take advantage of the bull market we are in by gifting stock! Start by contacting the company where your stock is held, and let them know you’d like to donate shares to a charity. From there, please reach out to Andrea Tagtow to get in contact with our account manager. This is a great opportunity to support our ongoing work in the community while possibly avoiding capital gains and other taxes.
Donate Your Tax Refund
If you receive a state income tax refund, you have a new opportunity to donate it (or simply a portion) to support our mission. You can enter Advocates for Children CASA (registration number 20023003345) in the “Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit Fund” line on your state income tax return or tax software. Or share this info with your tax preparer when preparing your tax documents, and they’ll take care of it for you!
Join the King Soopers Rewards Program
Please visit kingsoopers.com to create or log into your King Soopers account. Then search for Advocates for Children CASA either by name or code “VA631” and click “Enroll”. (New users will need to create an account which requires some basic information, a valid email address and a loyalty card.) Advocates for Children CASA will then receive a portion of every dollar you spend!
Enroll in Amazon Smile
You’ll put a smile on our faces when you select Advocates for Children CASA as your chosen charity. Visit smile.amazon.com or sign up via the Amazon app, and we will receive a portion of all of your Amazon purchases!
Sign up for Round-Ups
Small change makes a big difference! By texting “CASA” to 26989, you can quickly and easily enroll in our Round-Ups program. Link a debit or credit card, and your purchases from that card will be rounded up to the next dollar and donated back to Advocates for Children CASA. You can even set a limit on what you’d like to give each month.
The Legacy Project
Legacy Project Mentors work with a young person between the ages of 13 and 23 to assist with acquiring life skills, goal setting, and resource navigation within the community. Many of the participants have been involved in the foster care system, the truancy system or the juvenile justice system.
